What more is there to say about these guys? They are talented, amazing, fierce, determined, steadfast - they are playing the most beautiful football at this World Cup. They are playing beautiful, clean, unselfish team football. They have depth and strength in every single position. They can score goals (WOW can they score goals), they can totally silence The Best Player in the World. I hope they win this whole tournament, not only because I love them with all my heart, but because this is the kind of football that I want to see win things. They are amazing, and I could not be more proud of them. I LOVE EVERY SINGLE ONE OF YOU, BOYS.

Well maybe not Wiese.

Also, I am listening to power ballads because only they can properly express the depth of my emotion.

I went into the World Cup not knowing who to root for, but when I caught the second half of the Germany v. Australia match, it blew me away. All their passes were so smooth and their playing was next to flawless, and I fell so in love with it that watching other teams play was kind of a let-down.

They're inspirational. The Serbia game aside, they've been fantastic from start to finish. I'm so glad they charmed you. :)

It's halftime in the Spain-Paraguay match right now and that's one HOT MESS compared to Germany-Argentina. IDK what it says about Spain and Paraguay's playing if a total football n00b like me can tell.

Yeah, I got so bored I decided to instead watch my aunt cut strawberries for flag cake, ha. Spain should really be behind though - that goal was absolutely legit, no handball, no offsides. I feel bad for Paraguay.

This is yet another instance that proves video replay should be allowed in soccer/football/futbol. Also, those penalties that just got saved? MOST EXCITING THING THIS MATCH. Now it's boring again. :(

This is precisely what happened to me in World Cup 2006! I sat down for some fun football, whee yay etc, and got smacked in the face with a team of adorables who played gorgeous, fun football. My heart has been theirs ever since. :D

They were amazing! So beautifully together and even after Argentina started to get their game together, they were controlled and steady. This was a beautiful game... and seeing Micha in the stands cheering them on made me so happy.

They are playing beautiful, clean, unselfish team football.

That was GORGEOUS when Poldi, who was free and clear to take that goal himself, pats it over to Miro to tap it in.

THAT'S THE KIND OF FOOTBALL I LIKE TO WATCH. Bless you, boys.

Schweinsteiger was AMAZING. That third goal. adljgakldfjgdlkhjdflkhj. Gorgeous from Schweini.

Ugh, if Uruguay or Netherlands win this, it'll be so depressing. At least if Spain beat us and go on to win it all, it'll be a team that play football I can watch.

Yes, this! They are team and as a team they play amazing football. The best thing is that no matter how it ends, we get to see them at least two more times. ♥

Heh, fair enough. I do think they have a very good chance. Teams can change, just like football changes. I have hope, no matter how foolish that may be.

You stand strong, bb! I think the football culture's endless fixation on ~history~ is completely ludicrous. Where was Thomas Mueller in 1966? Hell, where was he in 2006? Hanging out in German watching with the rest of the fans, that's where! This team is a whole that is far, far greater than the sum of its parts and it completely transcends any bullshit statistics or past results or stereotypes that the media tries to impose on it. One of the many, many reasons I am so utterly in love. ♥

I second every single thing you wrote <3

I hadn't seen any of their games before the one vs. England, and at first I wasn't supporting them as much as wishing England and their boring, uninterested football out. But duuude, such beautiful football! I fell in love almost instantly and have been rooting for them ever since.

I really, really do hope they win! They're spectacular, they're the kind of team that fires the imagination and I love them for that.

unselfish team football.
Ngh, this, so much. Team spirit is what they're made of! &hearts and it is such a nice change to find players who remember football is a collective sport, unlike my dear French NT :3
